Care Packages Thanks to all the support and contributions from so many of you, we've already begun sending care packages to children and their families. We've received several requests and have also partnered with the Batten Disease Support and Research Association to focus on other children and families affected by NCL. Reading/Hospital Visits We will eventually organize opportunities to visit terminally-ill children and their families in Children's Hospitals or other venues. We will read with them or engage in an activity such as making handprints to help take their mind off their battle (if even for only a few minutes) and create a lasting memory or keepsake for the family. | Garrett's Wings provides comfort and non-medical care for terminally-ill children and their families while supporting and promoting research to cure Infantile NCL. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, enabling contributions of money, goods or services to be tax deductible for the contributor (please consult a tax specialist for advice on your particular situation.) The organization has no paid employees, so 100% of the contributions support the mission and efforts of Garrett's Wings. |
