Supporting Partner Organizations There are a number of existing organizations such as pediatric hospice care programs, children's hospitals and the BDSRA that are well positioned to help us carry out our mission. We will support those groups through funding, support activities and volunteers. Community of Care Online Application Cooking meals, housecleaning, lawn care... they need to get done, but for families with a terminally-ill child, they steal precious time and resources. The friends and neighbors around Garrett and his family created this community of care by taking on many of the daily chores, but organizing and administering so many resources, communications and schedules was no easy task. To enable others to create a similar community of care, we are developing an online application to help organize, plan, schedule and communicate the many moving parts. Plus, it will enable people who live at a distance to be able to contribute to the family's care. If you are interested in contributing to this effort as a programmer, designer or other service provider, please email us. Your talents would be invaluable! Research to Cure Infantile NCL Great strides are being made in finding a cure to this ruthless disease. | Garrett's Wings provides comfort and non-medical care for terminally-ill children and their families while supporting and promoting research to cure Infantile NCL. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, enabling contributions of money, goods or services to be tax deductible for the contributor (please consult a tax specialist for advice on your particular situation.) The organization has no paid employees, so 100% of the contributions support the mission and efforts of Garrett's Wings. |
